Why “I need a filter for my compressor” is not enough
The same compressor model can be built with different airends, motors, controllers, coolers and valves depending on the year, the market it was built for and the options chosen. Two machines with the same name on the canopy can need different oil filters, separator elements or inlet valve kits. Parts that look identical can differ in thread, gasket, bypass setting, micron rating or pressure rating.

A wrong part is worse than a late one. It costs a second shutdown, a second delivery and sometimes damage – for example, an oil filter with the wrong bypass valve, or a separator element not rated for the working pressure. So we work in a fixed order: identify first, verify second, quote third.

Sub-assemblies need their own details
Many parts do not belong to the compressor package itself but to a component fitted inside it. For these, the package serial is often not enough and we need the component’s own nameplate.
- Airend parts (bearings, seals, shaft seals) – airend type and serial where visible.
- Motor parts – motor make, frame, kW, voltage and bearing numbers from the motor nameplate.
- VFD and electrical parts – drive make, model and rating label; starter details.
- Controller, sensors and solenoids – controller model and version, sensor part numbers and connector type.
- Dryer parts – dryer make, model and serial; dryers often carry their own nameplate separate from the compressor.
- Portable diesel compressor engine parts – engine make, model and engine serial number, which is different from the compressor serial.
- Coolers – photos of the core, connections and any stamped markings.
How we confirm fit before quoting
- Read the evidence – nameplate, part number, photos and running details.
- Match the part – to the correct genuine part number or a proven equivalent for that machine.
- Check the critical features – dimensions, threads, seals, pressure and temperature rating, micron rating, bypass settings, electrical rating or connector type, as relevant.
- Confirm with the source where needed – some parts require supplier confirmation for a particular serial range.
- Tell you the result plainly – one of three outcomes below.
- Quote – part description, genuine or equivalent, condition, quantity and availability.
The three possible answers
We do not force a guess when the information is incomplete. You will get one of these answers:

Genuine, equivalent and refurbished parts
For many parts there is more than one sensible option, and the right choice depends on the part and the machine’s duty.
- Genuine parts from the compressor manufacturer – usually the reference for fit and performance.
- Quality equivalents – for example, filters and separators from established filtration makers, or bearings from recognised bearing manufacturers, matched to the original specification.
- Used or refurbished parts – sometimes the only practical option for older machines, and stated clearly as such.
We always say which one we are offering. For critical parts – airend bearings, separator elements, minimum-pressure valves, safety valves – we lean towards the original specification. Safety valves in particular must be correctly rated and set for the system.

Keep a parts record for each machine
Once a part has been confirmed for a machine, record it: part number, description, genuine or equivalent, date fitted and running hours. Over time this becomes a parts list for that compressor, which makes the next order quick and removes most of the identification work. It also helps you decide which critical spares are worth keeping on the shelf.
Tips for a good nameplate photo
- Clean the plate gently and photograph it straight on, not at an angle.
- Avoid flash glare; use daylight or a torch from the side.
- Make sure every character of the model and serial is sharp.
- Include a wider photo showing the whole machine, so we can see its configuration.
- If the plate is missing or unreadable, photograph the controller’s information screen and any stamped numbers on the frame or airend.
Common identification mistakes
- Ordering by the canopy name only – the badge on the enclosure does not show the build variant.
- Copying a part number from a similar machine on the same site; two compressors bought in different years may use different parts.
- Using the dryer or receiver serial instead of the compressor serial, or the reverse.
- Giving the compressor serial for engine parts on a portable diesel machine, where the engine has its own make, model and serial.
- Ignoring the working pressure – separators, valves and hoses must be rated for it, and high-pressure portable machines differ from standard 7–8 bar plant units.
- Assuming the last part fitted was correct – a previous wrong fit can carry forward for years.
When the part is needed for a breakdown
If the compressor has stopped and production is waiting, tell us at the start. We will focus first on the information that confirms the urgent part, and in parallel we can discuss whether temporary air from our rental fleet is needed to keep the plant running. It is also worth asking why the part failed: a separator that blocked early, a burnt thermostatic valve or a failed bearing usually points to a cause that a replacement part alone will not fix. Our service engineers can investigate that once the machine is running again.

How do I find the right spare part for my air compressor?
Start with the nameplate: make, model and serial number. Add the part number printed on the old part or in your service records, and photos of the part from several angles. With that, the part can usually be matched to the exact build of your machine. Without the serial, similar-looking parts with different threads, ratings or seals are easily confused.
What if my compressor nameplate is missing or unreadable?
Send photos of the whole machine, the controller’s information screen, any stamped numbers on the frame or airend, and the old part itself. The motor, dryer or engine nameplates can also help narrow the build. If the evidence is still not enough, one of our engineers can inspect the machine, as service teams cover all of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Can I use non-genuine filters and separators in my compressor?
Quality equivalents from established filtration makers can be suitable when they match the original specification for dimensions, micron rating, bypass setting and pressure rating. Poor copies can cause oil carry-over, pressure drop or airend damage. We always tell you whether we are offering a genuine or equivalent part, and for critical items we lean towards the original specification.
Why do you ask for the serial number when I already gave the model?
Because the same model can be built in different versions over the years, with different airends, valves, coolers or controllers. The serial number identifies which version you have. It is the main reason parts arrive that look right but do not fit, so we check it before quoting rather than after delivery.
Do you supply compressor spare parts outside Hyderabad?
