Who writes and reviews our engineering pages?
Our pages are produced in-house. They draw on the day-to-day work of our sales, rental, service and spare-parts teams: the machines we install and overhaul, the faults we diagnose on site, the parts we identify from nameplates and the temporary air packages we plan for projects. That practical experience is then organised into explanations a plant engineer or maintenance manager can use to make a decision.
| Role | Who | What the role covers |
|---|---|---|
| Technical reviewer and approver | D. Srinivas Reddy, Managing Partner | Final check of engineering content: method, figures, safety boundaries and what we say about our own services |
| Contributors | Reddy Compressors engineering, service and rental team | Field experience, fault patterns, service practice and parts identification know-how |
| Editorial preparation | Reddy Compressors team | Structure, clarity, consistency of units and terminology, internal links |
We name the reviewer because it matters who stands behind engineering advice. We do not attach “expert verified” badges or claim qualifications, accreditations or certifications that we cannot show.
About the technical reviewer
D. Srinivas Reddy is the Managing Partner and decision maker for Reddy Compressors and Reddy Generators, which operate under the same management. Reddy Generators began in 2002. He is a service engineer with more than two decades of hands-on industry experience across compressors, generators and related site equipment, and he personally reviews and approves the engineering content published for the business.
His experience spans the kinds of work our pages describe:
- Selling, renting and servicing compressors of many makes, including ELGi, Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, KAESER and Chicago Pneumatic, as an independent multi-brand specialist rather than an authorised dealer.
- Planning temporary air and power for projects, such as a combined compressor and generator package with operators and technicians supplied for a natural-gas development project at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.
- Portable diesel compressors on round-the-clock hire, where machines are serviced every 300 running hours, and borewell and DTH drilling air.
- Gas compressors, centrifugal compressors and blowers, and service and spares for axial compressors.
- Generator and substation maintenance work carried out through Reddy Generators.
More about the people behind the business is on our leadership page.
How a page is reviewed
Every technical page goes through the same basic sequence before it is published or after a significant change:
- Purpose check. Is the page answering a real question a buyer, operator or maintenance engineer would ask, and is it different from our other pages?
- Terminology check. Free air delivery (FAD), pressure dew point (PDP), specific power, gauge versus absolute pressure and ISO 8573-1 purity classes are used correctly and consistently.
- Figures check. Numbers are standard engineering practice and are phrased as typical, for example a refrigerated dryer pressure dew point of about +3 °C, oil-injected screw discharge temperature of about 75–95 °C, or about 7% more power for each extra bar of generation pressure.
- Units check. Pressures appear in bar and psig where it helps (1 bar is 14.5 psi), flows in cfm or m³/min with a clear basis, and ranges are written consistently.
- Safety check. Pages do not encourage unqualified people to open pressurised systems, bypass protection or work on live electrical equipment, and they point to site procedures and applicable codes where the risk is high.
- Claims check. Statements about Reddy Compressors are limited to facts we can stand behind. No invented response times, prices, savings percentages, certifications or customer names.
- Approval. The technical reviewer approves the page or returns it with corrections.
The method itself is described in more detail on our engineering review process page.
What our review does and does not cover
A reviewed page is a careful general explanation. It is not a design for your specific plant. The difference matters:
| A reviewed page can | A reviewed page cannot |
|---|---|
| Explain how a compressor, dryer or system works and why | Confirm that a particular machine suits your duty without your data |
| Give typical ranges and the method for calculating demand, pressure drop or storage | Replace measurement on your site, such as a logged air audit |
| Describe common faults and what an engineer checks | Diagnose your machine remotely with certainty |
| Name relevant standards such as ISO 8573-1 or ISO 11011 | Certify your system against a standard |
| Describe what Reddy Compressors does and how to brief us | Act as a quotation, warranty or service-level commitment |
Where a decision needs your actual data, our pages say so and explain what to send. For air audits, for example, we follow the ISO 11011 method, but we do not issue conformity certificates.
Independence and conflicts of interest
We sell, rent and service compressors, so readers are entitled to know where we stand. Our position is simple:
- We work across many brands and are not an authorised distributor or dealer of any of them. We have tie-ups with all major and reputed brands. Brand names and trademarks belong to their owners.
- Our pages compare technologies on engineering merit. Where a cheaper option, a repair or a rental is the better answer, we say so.
- We do not present a specific manufacturer model’s specification as our own figures.
- Where we mention our own projects, they are described anonymously and factually, without outcomes we have not recorded.
Our multi-brand philosophy and claims and evidence policy explain these principles further.
Keeping pages current
Compressor technology, standards and our own services change over time. We revisit pages when:
- a standard we refer to is revised;
- a reader or customer points out an error or an unclear explanation;
- our service range changes, for example a new rental capacity band or product line;
- field experience shows that a typical figure or a common fault pattern needs to be described differently.
Corrections are made openly. Where a published project description changes, the update is recorded on our project corrections and updates page.
How readers can judge an engineering page
Whether a page is ours or anyone else’s, a few checks show whether it deserves trust:
- Does it say who is responsible for the content, and is that person identifiable?
- Are figures stated as typical, with their conditions, rather than as universal promises?
- Are units clear, for example bar(g) versus bar(a), and FAD at stated inlet conditions?
- Does it separate how a technology works from what the author is selling?
- Does it explain limits and safety boundaries, and say when site measurement is needed?
- Can you report an error, and is there evidence that corrections are made?
We apply the same tests to our own pages. If one of ours fails any of them, please tell us.
How to report an error
If you find a mistake, a unit error, a broken link or an explanation that does not match your experience, tell us. Send the page address, the sentence or table concerned, what you believe is wrong and, if possible, your source or field observation. Email reddycompressors@gmail.com or message +91 99590 60718. The reviewer checks each report, and if a correction is needed the page is updated.
How Reddy Compressors helps
The same people who review our pages work on real machines. From our office at Srinilayam, 12-13-200, First Floor, Street No. 1, Tarnaka, Secunderabad 500017, we sell new and used/refurbished compressors, rent from our own fleet of 50–2,000 cfm and 2–30 bar diesel and electric machines, service and overhaul compressors of all major makes, run air audits and supply spare parts. Over 20 service engineers and technicians cover Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and we supply equipment, rentals and spares across India. If a page raises a question about your own plant, ask us and a service engineer will look at your actual data.
What to send us
- The page address and the section, sentence or table you are asking about.
- What you think is wrong or unclear, and why.
- Any supporting source, standard clause, nameplate photo or field reading.
- If your question is about your own machine: make, model, serial number, pressure, flow and duty.
- Your name and how you would like us to reply.
Frequently asked questions
Who reviews the technical content on the Reddy Compressors website?
Engineering content is reviewed and approved by D. Srinivas Reddy, Managing Partner of Reddy Compressors and Reddy Generators. He is a service engineer with more than two decades of industry experience in compressors, generators and site equipment. Pages are prepared by our in-house team, drawing on field service, rental and spare-parts work, before he checks the method, figures and claims.
Are the figures on your engineering pages guaranteed for my plant?
No. Figures are typical values from standard engineering practice, such as a refrigerated dryer dew point of about +3 °C, and are written to explain how things work. Your own plant may differ because of ambient conditions, altitude, piping, demand pattern and machine condition. For a decision on your site, send us measured data or ask for an audit.
Is Reddy Compressors an authorised dealer for the brands it writes about?
No. We are an independent multi-brand specialist. We sell, rent, service and supply parts for ELGi, Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, KAESER, Chicago Pneumatic and other makes, but we are not an authorised distributor or dealer of any of them. Brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and our comparisons are made on engineering merit.
How do I report a mistake on one of your pages?
Email reddycompressors@gmail.com or send a WhatsApp message to +91 99590 60718 with the page address, the exact sentence or table, what you believe is wrong and any source or field reading that supports it. The technical reviewer checks every report, and where a correction is needed the page is updated rather than left as it was.
Do your pages replace an engineer’s site assessment?
No. Our pages explain methods, typical ranges and what an engineer checks, which helps you prepare and ask better questions. Selecting a compressor, sizing a dryer or diagnosing a fault on your machine still needs your actual data and, often, measurement on site. Our engineers can review your information and recommend whether a visit, audit or trial is needed.
Do you certify compressed-air systems against ISO standards?
No. We refer to standards such as ISO 8573-1 for air purity and ISO 11011 for air-system assessment, and we carry out audits using the ISO 11011 method. We do not issue conformity certificates, and our pages do not claim accreditation. Where certification is required, it is carried out by a suitably accredited body.
